Kirsty Hawker

Hi, I’m Kirsty. I’m one of the creators behind Happy Mind Society.

I hold a BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling from Abertay University, graduating with Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1). My honours research focused on ADHD, wellbeing and stress, conducted under full ethical approval.

My academic work explores how attention, nervous-system regulation, coping strategies and resilience intersect in real life, not just in theory. These insights directly inform the psychology-informed courses and workbooks I co-create through Happy Mind Society.

Alongside my degree, I’ve undertaken professional development across trauma-informed practice, counselling-informed approaches, mindfulness, neurodiversity and child and family wellbeing. My focus is integration: taking evidence-informed psychology and translating it into tools people can actually use when life feels heavy.

I work closely with Alana to design resources that bridge the gap between clinical ideas and everyday experience. Everything we create is designed to feel grounding, clear and human — not overwhelming or performative.

You don’t need to fix yourself to deserve support.
You need tools that make sense, and space to practise them without judgement.
